Why I Don’t Offer Sneak Peeks (and What I Do Instead)
This is something I get asked about a lot—especially after weddings or sessions that feel extra special.
“Will we get a few sneak peeks soon?”
“Just one photo?”
“Even just a quick preview?”
And I get it. Truly.
You’ve just experienced something meaningful: your engagement, your growing family, a fleeting season of life... and you’re excited. You want to relive it, share it on social media, sit in it a little longer.
But here’s the honest truth:
I don’t offer sneak peeks.
And it’s not because I don’t care, it’s actually because I care deeply about what I deliver to you.
Let me explain
The way I photograph isn’t about single standout images—it’s about the full story.
The quiet in-between moments.
The messy, emotional, real parts.
The way everything connects.
Editing takes time for a reason
Every image you receive is individually reviewed and edited by me. I’m adjusting tones, colour, consistency to bring out emotion, making sure your gallery feels like my work, not something rushed out the door.
Sneak peeks might look simple on the surface, but they still require time, energy, and creative decision-making. And when I multiply that across every session and wedding, it adds up quickly.
If I offered sneak peeks, something else would have to give—and that would be your final gallery timeline or quality.
And I’m not willing to compromise on that.
I want your first viewing to feel like something
There’s something really special about sitting down and seeing your full gallery for the first time.
Not just one or two images... but all of it
The laughter, the emotion, the little moments you didn’t even realize I was capturing...
That experience hits differently when it’s complete!
When you’ve been waiting, when you can take it all in at once... it becomes a moment in itself.
And I want that for you.
Your story deserves to be told as a whole
When I sit down to edit your gallery, I’m not just picking “a few good ones”...
I’m carefully curating a collection of sometimes hundreds of images that flow, feels cohesive, and reflects your time with me, or that season in your life, in a meaningful way.
Pulling out a handful of images right after your session interrupts that process.
It rushes something that is meant to be thoughtful and intentional.
What I do promise
While I don’t send sneak peeks, I do prioritize:
- Thoughtfully edited, cohesive galleries that match my style, always
- Honest, storytelling-driven images that make for the perfect photo albums
- Images that feels like you
For weddings, my turnaround time is 10–12 weeks.
For portrait sessions, it’s typically shorter depending on the season but roughly 6-8 weeks.
Thank you for trusting the process...
If you’ve ever waited on a gallery from me — thank you.
If you’re currently waiting — hang in there, I’ve got you.
This isn’t about holding back photos for whatever reason...
It’s honestly about giving you something better than a preview.
It’s about giving you the full story.
